Candle making started in Japan and India, when the Japanese made their candles from tree nut and in India they made theirs from boiling the fruit of the cinnamon tree, these were the first methods of producing burning candles that give off a pleasurable aroma.
Our candles are made in Cumbria in the UK. Our scents are inspired from the natural beauty of the English Lake District and hills, which surround our home. We infuse a top grade container soy wax with a premium quality fragrance oil. Our temperature control is critical to the process in ensuring the quality of not only the appearance of the candle but also the quantity of the scent it is able to omit.

Here at Fell Top Fragrances we really want to make sure that once you receive one of our candles in your home that you get the best from it and make sure the scented candle actually works for you in achieving the best fragrance throughout your home.
Our candles work by the omitted heat from our eco-wick from its flame as it begins to melt the wax it gives off the scent of the infused oil. The larger the pool of wax the stronger the fragrance is, so making sure that the candle burns uniformly gives off the maximum experience by delivering the optimumamount of oil at any one time.
Choosing when to light your candle can also play a huge role in its effectiveness. We recommend that you light your candle at least an hour before guests arrive in your home or before you want your home to be filled with fragrance. However extinguishing them after two hours is also beneficial as the scent will not get any stronger after this time. Our candles burn for approximately 40 hours, we would recommend not allowing the candle to burn fully to the base, but leave approximately 8mm of wax in the bottom of the glass to minimise the risk of glass breakage from overheating.

Candles should always be placed far away from air vents to maximise their fragrance. Pay attention to where the candle is placed in each room, keeping clear of windows and doors that are opened frequently, which will have an adverse effect on the strength of the candle.
